In order to solve the problems of excavator bucket's action response and excavating force during operation, the kinematics and mechanics models of three different types of connecting bucket link rod mechanisms were established, and the excavating characteristic parameters such as the motion trajectory, response speed and maximum excavating force of the corresponding bucket were studied.The research results show that the buckets controlled by different linkage mechanisms have different excavation characteristics and working efficiency, but their excavation characteristics are consistent with the soil cutting characteristics.
